Sulawesi

On the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, coffee cherries are partially sun-dried, then they’re pulped with water in the semi-washed method. This process imparts an herbal flavor to the coffee.
Sulawesi is also well known for its heavy body and bold complexity of flavors and textures. This is a precious coffee that is in great demand.

Brewing Sulawesi

Try brewing Sulawesi in a coffee press to bring out all its flavors.

Try Sulawesi with...

rich, creamy cheese or sweet caramel to bring out the coffee’s buttery texture. Another interesting food pairing is a crisp apple or pear slice, to contrast against the coffee’s low acidity.

Did you know?

Although Sulawesi produces about 7% of Indonesia’s entire coffee output, demand for this coffee is so high that it is occasionally in short supply.
